What they had to say...
'I recently went to Newport with my husband and two children and we happened to drive by this restaurant. Jack and Josies is the type of cafe restaurant anyone could enjoy. We found this restaurant to be a delightful and relaxing atmosphere. The waitresses were quite friendly, the music was just right. The ambiance of the place and the presentation and taste of the food that we ordered was delicious! I can't wait to visit Newport again. Jack and Josies will surely be the #1 breakfast/lunch place on our list to visit'.

'Fun is on the menu at this quirky corner spot, a sort of poolroom-luncheonette-sports-bar-Internet-cafe. Within the airy, well-lit space are five computer terminals , a pool table, plasma TVs, and an eating area with brushed aluminum tables. Food? Mostly soups, salads, and sandwiches, along with contemporary twists, as in the warm pear and goat cheese salad and "The Jack," thin slices of sirloin with caramelized onions, fig compote, and arugula saga blue cheese. But the dishy owner -- who is neither Jack nor Josie, which are actually the names of her dogs -- has added several entrees, including a quiche of the day, roasted pork tenderloin, meatloaf, and a roasted salmon filet wrapped in prosciutto. Bring your own wine or beer: She doesn't have a liquor license and doesn't intend to get one. Herbal teas, smoothies, and specialty coffee drinks are options'.
